First and foremost I would like to thank everyone for your continued support and commitment throughout the season. As I said on Sunday it has been our best season to date, with fifteen league wins, four draws and three defeats we have finished in third position. The LFA cup took us to Blackburn were we easily defeated Darwen Spartans to progress to the second round. A trip to Preston against Walton North End resulted in a narrow 2-0 defeat, WNE went as far as the quarter finals, they were knocked out by eventual winners Mill Hill who had knocked out Westgate on penalty’s in the first round. Our league cup campaign started with victories against Cockerham Juniors and HBS Colts to take us to the semi finals once again. Our opponents Westgate in the semi gave us another tough game but to be honest the score line didn’t do us justice as we more than matched them on the day, they took their chances and we didn’t – final score 3-1.

Overall the season has been fantastic, plenty of highs and not too many lows, the comeback against Westgate ranks highly and we had a couple of off days against LBC away and Storeys at home.
