Well, if Carlsberg made up games then this was one of them !!!

I share John's sentiment from Heysham in saying what a great advertisement of football this game was, it had everything.

We allowed Heysham to take the game to us & conceded a few corners early on which we dealt with no problems.
But the really pleasing thing for me was the quality of football we played today and after the first 10mins I thought the passing football from Rangers was of real quality.

The 3G pitch really suited our passing game and we started to ask questions of Heysham and it wasn't long before a quick release from midfield sent Theo flying down the wing, he cut in and hit thunderous screamer past the keeper to go 1-0 up.

This really shocked Heysham and we continued to put some great flowing moves together and like one of the Heysham parents said to us after the game, "We just couldn't get near you", the passing was that good.

The possession we had led us to take a 2-0 lead when Cameron found space out on the left as he cut in and smashed a low shot past the keeper to make it 2-0 going into half time..

We knew Heysham would come at us but we lost our shape early on when injuries to Joel & Tom forced them off. They scored a soft goal which really lifted them and they took further advantage to draw level 2-2.

The only negative part to our game today was lads dropping their heads even when we were 2-1 up, we must learn to kill games off.

Heysham then scored a 3rd but by now the game was end to end with chances for either side.

Right at the death we had goal bound shots that looked destined to go in only for the excellent Heysham defence to get heads, backs, the works in the way.
We then had 3to 4 corners in quick succession superbly delivered by Kyle only for resolute defending and the bar to stop us drawing level.

It wasn't to be this time but I know the lads gained a huge amount of respect of all spectators today for the quality , passing football we played.

Well done !!

Congratulations to Heysham today, it shows the quality they have to come back from 2-0 down and they deserve to win the league now, I don't think anyone can argue they've been the most consistent team throughout the season.

Well done Heysham & all the best for their remaining games.

Superb play today for the lads, you've set the standards with parents, coaches & yourselves for the way you passed the ball about.

Let's continue to grow as a squad and keep playing football how it should be played - On The Floor!!

MOM today - Too many names to mention therefore ALL the team get MOM !!

Training as normal Tuesday with lots of games & tournaments to look forward to.
